Within this project called ‚Bornstedter Feld - Potsdam‘ we dealt with the connections between the city, the district and the individual buildings on different scale levels as well as the linkage and interaction between them. It is supposed to be one appropriate urban design which connects the area and the different adjoining rooms and conveys and incorporates the qualities of the surrounding landscape and open spaces.

With targeted green engravings in the design area, which is an urban mix of different living styles and typologies with all the necessary complementary offers, a continuous transition to the new urban fabric is created. The central idea of ​​the lodging is to form groups of buildings of partly different structure, which through places and green spaces are interconnected, creating places of communication and encounter. The new green thus serves as a connection between the lodgings as well as within the lodging.

The area of the former German armed forces should be developed as an urban mix of different forms and typologies of habitation including the necessary additional offers (retail, social infrastructure, playgrounds, etc.). The location of a planned comprehensive school south of the area shall be fitted into the context of the new accommodation. The estate, contaminated with inherited liability, between school and parking lot of the biosphere in potsdam needs particular attention as to the limited possibilities of use, the parking area of the biosphere can be reconsidered as a function of a modified concept in parking.

Here we gather a position toward the area of conflict of different aims and possibilities of use.
The main questions are: How are the diverse attempts and conceptions at the site convertible? Is an integrative projection necessary and feasible?
